Derbyshire Webcams
The green county of Derbyshire incorporates part of the Pennines, the Peak District and the National Forest amidst its many hills and mountains. Said to be the most central county of England, it is also one of the most historic, with evidence of human habitation dating back as far as 12,000 years BC.
Much of the rural landscape is used for farming with fields marked out by distinctive dry stone walls. Buxton features high on the list of popular Derbyshire webcams along with scenic towns such as Bakewell, Matlock and Ashbourne. The huge country estate of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are frequently used for the setting of period dramas and films and make a great day out.
