Macedonia Webcams

The Republic of Macedonia was formerly part of Yugoslavia in southeastern Europe. It declared its independence in 1991 and became a member of the United Nations in 1993 under the name of FYROM – the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

This landlocked country has just over half a million population. The capital city is the little known Skopje, which means ‘watchtower’. It was severely damaged in an earthquake back in 1963. The city has some historic churches and interesting monuments. You can see how it looks today from our great Macedonia Webcams.

The area has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and winters which see temperatures fall below freezing.
