Cambridgeshire is situated on the River Cam and is an idyllic setting in part of England known as the Fens or East Anglia. World renowned for its famous university, many of the historic and stunningly grand buildings in Cambridge date back to 1546. Trinity college was founded then by King Henry VIII whose statue presides over the gateway, weirdly sporting a chair leg in place of his sceptre! Other towns worthy of a visit in the area are Ely, Peterborough, Huntingdon and St Neots.
