Sarzona, in north-west Italy, is a town nestled in the lee of the Alps. It’s scenically blessed and has some incredible historic monuments including several medieval castles.
Plazas are an important feature of Italian towns and the one in Sarzana is a good example of that. Take a look at the webcam streaming from the Piazza Matteotti and you’ll see it’s where the townsfolk gather for a morning coffee and an extended chin wag that appears to go on for hours.
Forget close-ups of alpine scenery with these cams though. On the feed from the Hotel Al Sant’Andrea webcam you can get a good look at the cargo bays of the local DIY store and a shopping mall car park, but at least the mountains are present in the background. Enjoy the views!
