Kiev City Cams

While the Ukranian city of Kiev has the same name as the ever popular garlicky chicken dish from the 1970’s, no-one is really sure if that’s where it originated or not.

Kiev, the capital of the Ukraine, is a city divided into two distinct halves by the Dnieper River. The broad waterway separates the industrial zone from the residential area and it could easily be said the most interesting things to be seen in Kiev are on the right hand side of the river.

The golden domes of St Sophia’s Cathedral, Kiev Pechersk Lavra monastery, St Michael’s monastery and the ornate gilding of St Andrew’s Church help to add a touch of glamour to what would otherwise be a pretty drab cityscape.
