In an age where even election results in the USA have come under scrutiny, transparency is as important as ever. Franklin County have taken this to heart by installing a webcam allowing anyone to watch the ballots be counted for the upcoming November 8th election.

A similar webcam was used to cover Benton County’s primary election. It managed to get 150 viewers at the cost of less than $100. The Franklin County webcam has been a touch more expensive, the bill coming in at $9,000.

Ballot counters hard at work. I hope their maths is good.
