The Golden Gate Bridge has recently celebrated its 75th anniversary since opening way back in 27th May 1937. Despite its age, and unlike many other bridges that old, the Golden Gate Bridge still looks in great shape.

The suspension bridge spans 4,200 feet, providing a link from San Francisco to Marin County.

The bridge considered to be both a modern wonders of the world and one of the most beautiful bridges ever constructed. Around 9 million people come to visit the bridge every year.

The celebrations included a party throughout 27th May and a large fireworks display over the bridge.

During the bridge’s 50th anniversary, poor crowd control meant that 300,000 people were on the bridge simultaneously, causing the middle of the bridge to flatten. This caused bridge officials to be more cautious during the 75th anniversary celebrations.
