Here in the UK, we’ve been hit with bitterly cold temperatures and a fair amount of snow this week. Most have been lamenting the bad weather, but some have been thoroughly enjoying it, and I’m not talking about school children!
The penguins at Edinburgh Zoo have been playing in the snow over the last couple of days, and even though the zoo has been shut, people have still been able to watch the penguins via webcam.
I’m watching the feed now and my screen is chock-a-block full of penguins! It’s probably the best penguin webcam I’ve seen, and it seems many others on the Internet feel the same.
Claire Richardson, who looks after Edinburgh Zoo’s Twitter account, has said that the webcam has received a huge spike of interest since the snow has fallen. I just performed a quick search on Twitter, and found that 20 Twitter users have linked to the webcam within the last 30 minutes.
