Yes, I agree. One of the cheapest and warmest ways to bring in the new year was via a webcam overlooking your favourite city or other locale. I hope the weather wasn't too cold in the UK for this past year's New Year's Eve celebrations. Thanks for sharing your wonderful worldwide webcams.

I was in Cornwall too in 1999 and stood on my parent's roof filming and supposedly broadcasting it - broke the hosting company's server though trying!

http://www.cornwell.org/eclipse99/eclipse.htm has a couple of piccies from the day. I'm taking it we won't see any of it in the UK?

Yes, you're right. There has been a subtle change in the political agenda, namely addressing "climate change" rather than "global warming". The exceptionally cold winter across the States and Europe is certainly thought-provoking.

Stay warm, and I hope you continue to enjoy the webcams throughout the seasons.

Well, I think it's more about climate change now than global warming with extremes in weather.

Here in Washington, DC, temperatures have been averaging far below normal so far this winter, and we've had a lot of snowfall with a near-blizzard last month.

I love browsing webcams from all over the world to catch all the winter weather scenes happening. Thanks for the discussion.
