The City of Campbell River have installed a new webcam showing the city’s downtown area. It has been installed on top of their city hall.

Campbell River is located in British Columbia, Canada. It is located towards the south of Discovery Passage, a channel that separates Vancover Island from the Discovery Islands. It was named after the ship HMS Disocvery by its Captain Vancouver in the 1800s.

The webcam has been set up thanks to a partnership between Campbell River’s Information Services Department and North Island Communications. The partnership means the webcam has been installed at no cost to the city.

Those who set up the webcam have done so to help share the beauty of the region with others.

You can see the downtown webcams here. There is also an airport webcam. The webcam images are updated every 30 seconds.
