How about relaxing to the beautiful scenery of Surfers Paradise, a suburb on the Gold Coast in Australia.
Apart from the wide beach that gives the location its name, Surfers Paradise is also known for high-rise apartment buildings. The webcam we’re featuring here on Camscape faces north-west, so the northern Gold Coast Hinterland is also visible.
The Gold Coast is a popular tourist destination due to its sunny weather, surfing beaches, and attractive skyline. The city attracts 10 million tourists each year, adding $4.4 billion to the city’s economy. One of every four jobs in the Gold Coast is tourist related.
The Gold Coast is also an important area for film production, with roughly $150 million spent on films made in the Gold Coast each year. Behind Sydney and Melborne, the Gold Coast is Australia’s third largest film production centre.
