Suriname Webcams

The former Dutch colony of Suriname is the smallest sovereign state in South America in both area and population (just 472,000). It was formally known as Dutch Guiana and is also the only Dutch-speaking country in the western hemisphere. It was traded to the Dutch by the British in exchange for New York, a fairly unequal trade by today’s standards!

Suriname is actually four times the size of the Netherlands, covering some 64,000 square miles (165,000km2). The northern coastal lowland is where most of Suriname’s inhabitants live, as the southern part is tropical rainforest and savanna. Enjoy the views from some of our Suriname webcams.
