North Dakota borders Canada and is halfway between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and has just 640,000 residents thinly spread over this northern state. The town of Rugby is the geographic centre of the continent of North America, marked by an obelisk and flags.
The capital city of Bismarck is home to the North Dakota Capitol building, the tallest building in the state, although Fargo is better known as it is the economic, manufacturing, educational and retail hub of the area.
