Maine is the most northeasterly state in the United States and borders Canadian Quebec province to the north. The rocky, jagged coastline, low rolling mountains and forested interior make it a popular vacation destination. Its lobsters and clams are particular favorites in the seafood cuisine which is a specialty here. All well as catching 90% of the US lobsters it produces 99% of all the blueberries.
