I too use to visit here every summer. I was born in 1974 and my parents and grandparents were going there long before that. I knew Bill when I was a kid and loved to talk to him. He was good friends with my Grandfather. Anyway, investors went in and bought it..gut it and took away all the charm of the place. They tried selling units for a while but I think they may still rent them out. Also, sadly, in front of Bill's on the beach they knocked down another hotel and built a huge Hilton. I am from Florida and when I go now I stay at Tropical Shores which is right next to where Bill's use to be. Try that out if you are wanting to remember what it was like back then.

Used to vacation near here back in the 1970's & 1980's at the old Siesta Plaza Resort managed by Poor Bill Gorrell for the old Physician's Plaza here in Fort Wayne, IN. What became of the old Siesta Plaza Resort????
