Wiltshire takes its name from the charming county town of Wilton, best known for its carpet weaving industry. Other graceful towns include Chippenham, Trowbridge, Devizes and Salisbury , which incidentally has the tallest Cathedral spire in England at 404 feet.
It also has the oldest working clock in Britain dating back to 1386. It also has some pretty old standing stones at Stonehenge and nearby Avebury. Enjoy views of this lovely county through the Wiltshire webcams, including “Where’s Wally?” in Marlborough.
